Infarm expands to the Czech Republic


Berlin, Germany, October 22, 2021 - Infarm, the Berlin-based vertical farming company that aims to open 100 locations worldwide by 2030, steps into its first Eastern European country, the Czech Republic. After launching in Japan this year, the Czech Republic is the 11th country that Infarm now serves with fresh, tasty, and affordable produce.
Infarm is the fastest-growing network of cloud-connected modular farms, with the mission to revolutionize the food supply chain by growing fresh and nutritious produce in urban areas, with less food miles, less land and water use and zero chemical pesticides.

Infarm has partnered with the country’s largest online supermarket and will cater to the area of the Czech capital Prague initially followed by a nationwide roll-out. Rohlik customers can choose from Infarm’s Genovese basil, flat coriander, thyme, sage, dill, flat and curly parsley, chives and green mint.

In 2021, Infarm rolled out several new retail partnerships, with the German Bünting Group and EDEKA’s "Hessenring" distribution center in Germany, Kinokuniya, Summit, Dean&Deluca in Japan
and expanded its partnership with Sobey’s in Canada. The vertical farming company is also building one of Europe’s largest urban farming facilities just north of London as a second location in the UK, and is going to open a new facility in Greve/Copenhagen, Denmark.

With a team of more than 1000 employees, partnerships with 30 of the world’s largest retail chains and operations in 11 countries and in major cities including London, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen,
Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle and Tokyo, Infarm has the most global presence among urban vertical farms operating today.
