Accounts Payable Team Lead

Based in Berlin and reporting into our VP of Accounting, the successful candidate in this role will be responsible for managing and supporting the development of the AP team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to build on your current experience bringing Process Improvement and Implementation to our team in order to drive accuracy and efficiency. 

As Infarm's Accounts Payable Team Lead you'll be responsible for overseeing and spearheading our day-to-day AP activities, including budget preparation, invoice review, and record generation.

Responsibilities

  • Look after maintenance and clarification of supplier accounts
  • Deal with VAT returns
  • Act as contact person for all financial queries on all issues in the area for suppliers and locations
  • Process of outgoing payments
  • Enter and post account statements daily as well as be responsible for checking, account assignment and posting of further business transactions in the area of ​​creditor management
  • Work on balance reconciliation with suppliers
  • Correct and issue in a timely manner all invoices 
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports as needed
  • Cooperate closely with other departments such as procurement and support in the development of processes
  • Lead the team of Accounts Payables

Requirements

  • Audit and tax consultant background preferred
  • Several years of experience in the field of accounts payable accounting in Germany
  • Excellent knowledge of DATEV
  • Proactive team player with communication, organizational and coordination skills
  • Reliable, structured and independently working
  • Experience in leading the team of accountants
  • Excellent communication skills, service-oriented solution of problems
  • Fluent in German and at least medium knowledge of the English language
