Head of Accounting, DACH 

Reporting to the VP of Accounting, Infarm's ‘Head of Accounting’ is responsible for Infarm’s accounting and tax functions. This is a unique opportunity to define, shape and manage a dedicated team within the Finance department focused on the day-to-day Accounting activities across the DACH region.

A successful candidate in this position will thrive in a fast paced work environment that requires strong collaboration and coordination with many different teams across the company in a bid to drive ad-hoc processes to improve efficiency and compliance.


  • Lead our DACH accounting team and be in charge of future development of the department (Disciplinary and technical management responsibilities)
  • Coordinate and monitor all ongoing bookkeeping activities across DACH (General Ledger / Accounts Payables / Accounts Receivables)
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in a timely coordination aligned to the HGB for all companies
  • Manage periodic tax reporting (VAT, Corporate tax, etc.) together with external providers 
  • Be the contact person for external stakeholders such as banks, payment service providers
  • Analyse existing Finance and Accounting processes and identify gaps in order to improve productivity 
  • Review and challenge existing purchase processes, document management and approval workflows
  • Prepare financial statements according to HGB
  • Own effective cash flow and working capital management processes


  • University degree in a business-related field with a focus on finance / accounting or Accounting equivalent experience
  • 3+ years professional experience in an auditing or tax consulting company
  • 4+ years experience in a similar management position with at least 1 year working experience in a Start-up
  • In-depth knowledge of national (HGB) and ideally international accounting (IFRS)
  • First hand experience working with DATEV and Lucanet
  • Strong Excel skills are essential for this role
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Hands on mentality is a key
  • Excellent working skills in German and English 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in building and managing teams
